Aluminum bi fold doors, also called folding doors, accordion doors.

The major reason that people choose to install this folding design to their home is that it offers big wide opening. It could be as wide as 20ft (about 6 meters) or even wider. 8ft (about 2400mm) high is quite normal. Each of the doors that you order from us will be made according to your door schedule.

Though people do love to have the options to have a big opening, they don't fully open the bi fold doors very often. Taking this design for example, 1+3, you can only open the first panel at the left most of the time. The other 3 glazed panels will be working as fixed panels.

You can expect good sound and heat insulation due to the double glazing, and you can also have low emmision glass if a higher thermal break performance is required.

In order to have a long life expectancy,  we will need to have high quality hardware.  Here are some pictures for closer view:

Even with good quality hardware, we will need to avoid making glazed panels wider than 3ft (about 900mm).  All you need to do is to provide us the width and height for the overal dimension of the door for your project, we will make shop drawings for your approval.

It is up to you to have the glazed panels to stand outside of the house or inside once open. This decision needs to be made before production.

Bottom tracks

We have two options for the bottom track for different purposes.

Option A is 16mm height, chair wheels can go across with a minor bump.

Option B is 56mm height, for better waterproof performance.

Here are three different types of packing available for different situations:

A). Foam wrapping frames for full container load;

B). solid wood crates is for less than container load

C). plywood pallets is for less than container load, and it is fumigation free.
